Dealing with writer’s block doesn’t have to be so difficult…

Writing is a fun (and can be a profitable) activity to exercise your creativity and share your insights with the world, but what if your mind goes blank and you suddenly can’t think of words to write?

Making the problem worse is that you have a deadline to beat. Yikes.

Unfortunately, writer’s block is inevitable. Whether you’re just writing as a hobby or writing professionally, you can’t be immune to writer’s block.

Unless your mind is coded like ChatGPT, you surely would experience times when your mind is wandering aimlessly, not knowing what to write next.

Thankfully, my 4-year professional freelance writing experience taught me how to deal with it.

Let me share with you 4 things I do to beat writer’s block:

1. I Pause and Take Breaks

Sometimes, there’s just no other way to deal with mental exhaustion but to pause and take a break.

Writer’s block is more often a product of mental exhaustion (often called cognitive overload where your memory gets overwhelmed), rather than a loss of focus.
